This policy explains what personal data Worktechlabs Ltd collects through this website and through our work with clients, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who we are

Worktechlabs Ltd is a software development company registered in England and Wales, with its office at 10 Miles Close, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 0TB, United Kingdom. For the personal data described here we are the data controller. You can reach us at info@worktechlabs.com or on 020 3883 2194.

What we collect

  • Information you send us. Your name, company, email address, telephone number and whatever you write in a contact, review-request or application form, including any CV or document you attach.
  • Technical information. Technical logs may include connection and browser information. When enabled, Google Analytics 4 receives basic page and successful enquiry signals without analytics cookies through advanced Consent Mode v2, including connection and browser information. Only after you accept analytics cookies does it use persistent browser identifiers. We do not send form answers to Analytics.
  • Client project data. During an engagement we may process data held in your systems. In that case you remain the data controller and we act as processor under a written agreement.

Why we use it

  • To reply to an enquiry and to prepare a proposal.
  • To assess an application for employment or collaboration.
  • To deliver and support the software we are contracted to build.
  • To understand which pages of this site are useful through basic measurement without analytics cookies, and through cookie-based statistics only where you have accepted them.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and contractual obligations.

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not use it to build profiles for targeting.

We rely on legitimate interest for replying to business enquiries and running this website securely; on the performance of a contract for delivering and supporting our work; on consent for analytics cookies and for any marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time; and on legal obligation for records we are required to keep.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the business: Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 for hosting, email and documents; an accounting provider for invoicing; and Google Analytics 4, when enabled, for basic measurement without analytics cookies and, after you accept, for measurement with analytics cookies. Each is bound by a data processing agreement, and data is held within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area wherever possible. We will disclose data to a public authority only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: two years from the last contact.
  • Applications: twelve months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or agree to a longer period.
  • Client records and contracts: seven years, as required for tax and accounting.
  • Analytics cookies and this site’s consent preference expire after up to 180 days. Server-side Analytics retention is managed separately in the Google Analytics property; contact us for the current setting.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask for it in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw that consent at any time, including by changing your cookie preferences on this site. We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects.

Contact and complaints

Email info@worktechlabs.com or write to Worktechlabs Ltd, 10 Miles Close, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 0TB. We aim to respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
